Spring Detox with Qigong

Time to clear the clutter!

As winter wanes and spring begins to bud you may begin to feel the earth waking up and the Qi rising. You can see it in the length of the day and the melodious bird songs. Can you feel it? This deep movement of the earth is sending Qi upwards to all living beings. That includes us! Yet we may be feeling sluggish, frustrated, slow, and our brain a bit foggy. These are symptoms of Qi which is trying to rise, getting stuck by all the toxins in our body, mind, and soul.

According to chinese medicine spring is governed by the liver and galll bladder. Liver is all about detoxing and responsible for moving the Qi throughout the body. When we slow down in the winter, our Qi runs deep, slow, and can become sluggish. And stuck. So in the spring we need to recharge and reboot ourselves and liver by doing some internal spring cleaning, releasing the internal clutter we've accumulated over the winter.

Qigong is your go to to help in these efforts. By helping move out old patterns and releasing what we no longer need our organs and beings are tonified and ready for spring expansion upward. Then we have the energy and clarity to wake up and come back to life like nature.  In this way we can receive the life force Qi so we feel energized to take agency in our life for new expansion. Whether that may be a goal we want to manifest, a quality to cultivate, or a new pattern we'd like to practice. On a mundane level it may be to have the energy to release the external clutter in our living spaces!
